why resolutions don’t stick.

how to make tough changes like quitting smoking, alcohol or drugs.
And, it includes the underlying SECRET for success!
CYCLING in the CITY, relates the story about the author’s first few months’ of a year-long breakaway from the career job – with one paycheck and no plans.
After the first few weeks of getting to know the Sacramento area by car with social trips to San Francisco, she decided to go for a bicycle ride … and had a bizarre experience. She couldn’t do it! She couldn’t ride her bicycle! And she was devastated!
Finally, she understood what the psychologist meant by “melt-down.”
Part One tells how the author discovered the reason for that first miserable “ride” when she took herself on as a client. Using techniques from counseling and special education, she developed a personalized program using her bicycle as the tool for change. The result? She recovered so much more than her lost confidence!
Part Two reveals the process of making changes. It explains why those New Year’s Resolutions don’t stick. It clarifies why making changes is so difficult. It exemplifies how you can set yourself up for success instead of failure – even with those tough behaviors like substance abuse: smoking, alcohol and drugs. And, it includes the secret for success!
