In contrast to intellectual intelligence where the analysis of the self is made by reasoning, dealing with emotional intelligence requires a re-living of the situations that fabricated the psychological problems in the first place. And so, Max tries to rebuild himself, and questions some of the things that he had taken for granted as his own identity. He experiences a beguiling dream state in which he meets different characters from his psyche, whom challenge his understanding of the world with philosophical musings, cogitative reveries and a ruminative longing for the ghost of a love gone by.
