The Cost of Living Forever

Nick Stanton will live forever. Adree will be lucky to make it to twenty-five.

They used to be friends, but that was before Adree was retrained. Now, she works hard to prove she is a necessary piece of society, while Nick lives comfortably in the privileged world his grandparents have fashioned for him. At 16, their futures have already been assigned: Nick is scheduled to take his first dose of Longevity, and Adree is burdened with keeping people like him alive.

Nick and Adree have been trained to do what is expected of them—if they don’t mind letting others do the thinking for them. If they accept the fate others have dictated.

If they want to live.
