E's Complaint

“Since granddad died and Anna rejected me the world seems broken, all I have left is putting frozen lasagne in microwaves. The doctor says I have depression.

At least I have Eric.

Eric is the voice inside my head.

Eric says everything will be all right, so long as I do what he says.

I hope so.”

In the winter of 2011 E. was overtaken with alcohol abuse, insomnia and a deeper malaise, the start of a violent depression that would leave him on the brink of suicide.

E’s Complaint is a journey into emotional chaos and despair, a darkly humorous glimpse into the madness of depression from someone caught within it.
