White Lies and Goodbyes

They found a body in the playground of an old abandoned school—it’s all over the news. But Jordan isn’t particularly interested in reading about another unsolved murder mystery. He just drove halfway across South Africa to say goodbye to his dying grandfather. He hoped for laughter, he knew there would be tears, but he never imagined that he would be the one to hear his grandfather’s mysterious deathbed confession. Is it all an elaborate lie to distract from his impending death, or is the sickly old man telling the truth?

White Lies and Goodbyes is a short story for readers who enjoy dark and twisted tales, and know what kinds of skeletons lurk in every family’s closet.
