After an accident on the set, a young actress on the run finds herself in a strange town, where it is not unusual for buildings to go missing, people spend most of their lives in a bar, the locals are suicide- and murder-prone, and the paintings of a moody young man have a spooky tendency to come true. When she’s not busy trying to survive, the actress is looking for the way out and something long lost. They say that once in, one can never leave Immortown.

Told by two people addressing each other, the story is a story of art, death, affection, melancholy, and other mental derangements, featuring a naughty ghost, an obsessed fan girl, and yellow whale pajamas.
