The Missing Billionaire

This is an Adventure story with plenty of Action and Romance.

Sidney Witherspoon becomes a billionaire before he’s 40 and is the most sought after bachelor in the States, but he goes on safari in the Amazon jungle in search of a rare butterfly and suffers a series of calamaties. He loses his native guide and then he loses his way, only to find himself in the hungry hands of a tribe of head-hunting cannibals. The native chief offers let him live, providing he marries a couple of his daughters, and this is where his trouble really begins.

Meanwhile, back in Ohio romance is in the air. His father, distraught at losing his only son, plans to re-marry in order to continue the family line. A new business associate from England falls in love with a horse ranch and soon after he falls in love with the woman who owns it, but the new husband of his first wife chases after him for money.

This story takes place some fifty years in the future, and is packed with adventure, thrills, and a dash of romance from the same author who wrote the Bestselling novel, “Michael’s Irish Magic” also available on Amazon Kindle.

“No, you’re not next for the pot. At least I don’t think so, but with what the King has in mind for you, perhaps you might hope you were,” she said, looking him up and down, as if appraising his body for some reason.

“What are you staring at me like that for?”

She did not answer directly, but said, “You’re not very tall, what height are you Sidney?”

“About the same as you, I reckon. Anyway, what’s that got to do with it?”

“Well, you’re a bit on the small side and this gives you extra appeal, I guess.”

“What do you mean? Are you telling me you’re attracted to me?” he said, edging his chair away from the old woman.

“No mate, not at all, so don’t get yer hopes up,” she said with a spate of cackling, “But there’s many a woman in this tribe who’ll be thinking how attractive you are, believe me!”

“Well, much good will it do them, because I don’t fancy any of them at all.”

“That attitude isn’t going to help you at all, mate, because fat old King Andrew will have you lined up for a couple of his daughters and a few others besides.”

He stared at her in disbelief as the cold hands of fear crept around his heart when he recalled the King telling him of the tribe’s need for healthy males to mate with their women.

Seeing from his eyes that the penny had finally dropped, she said, “That’s right, Mr. Virile. You’re going to be married off to half-a-dozen nubile women when the moon is in the right phase.”

“Great Scott, that’s terrible.”
