Mexican Booty: A Lucy Ripken Mystery (The Lucy Ripken Mysteries Book 2)

Lucy Ripken lives in New York—land of finance, wealth, and art, but she’s basically broke. With less than $1000 in her bank account (not even enough to pay this month’s rent) she lands a job on the Upper East Side, photographing some mind-bogglingly expensive pre-Colombian sculptures. But something is off about the woman she’s working for, and something is off with the pieces she’s photographing.

Of course, independent Lucy takes matters into her own hands, travelling first to Santa Fe, and then to Mexico to unravel the mystery. Her sometimes boyfriend, Harold Ipswich wants to help, but he’s still struggling with his past and he and Lucy are on the rocks.

Instead, Lucy relies on her best friend, Rosa, a painter. Rosa is a little distracted, she’s recently engaged to the perfect guy, but she drops everything to help Lucy. They quickly find themselves in way deeper than they intended.
