FOOTBALL CRAZY: A Short Football Story (Football Stories Book 2)

FOOTBALL CRAZY – A SHORT STORY FOR CHILDREN COPING WITH THE LOSS OF A GRANDPARENT

Football Crazy is a warmhearted and humorous short kids story specially written for children coping with loss. It is easy to read aloud and designed for all the family to share and discuss.

Sooner or later children have to learn about death and loss. Many parents struggle to say the right things to their children while trying to cope with their own feelings of grief and loss. We are all only human and sometimes we just can’t find the words. This is where stories come in.

A story shared within a family can help prepare your children for coping with difficult times of their life. For a family going through a period of loss and grief, sharing a story can open up the discussion so that questions can be answered and children’s fears can be understood and reassured.

FOOTBALL CRAZY

Football Crazy is a warmhearted and humorous short story about a boy called Jimmy who shares his love of football with his mum and dad and especially his grandad. They all love to watch football, talk football and play football.

Then one day, grandad doesn’t want to come to the match, and he doesn’t want to see his family. Soon everyone’s worried about him. Why doesn’t he care about football any more? Jimmy and his mum and dad decide to pay grandad a visit and that’s when they discover the sad truth.

Suddenly everything changes – nothing’s the same without grandad and nobody’s football crazy any more. Jimmy misses his grandad terribly but without football to keep them together pretty soon he’s missing his mum and dad too.

Can Jimmy get the family back in the game again?
