As one reader commented,

“….the entire book is completely relevant to any child, and teaches them the importance of emotions and how their outlook on life is integral to what they feel.”

From Best Selling Children’s Book Author, Kimberly Segraves

Do you know what makes a Monster really grumpy? Well, they don’t like it when things don’t go their way and there is nothing worse than a bright sunny shiny day when a monster has had hopes of playing and splashing in the rain. And so, on this particular day, when Mister Monster wakes to find the sun shining his day is ruined!

But later that day, he gets a break and discovers his luck is about to change! A few miles away, dark rain clouds are forming in neighboring skies. And so he does what any monster would do! He puts on his favorite rain boots and sets off walking on the promise of miserable, gloomy weather.

“It looked like my neighbors, living close by the zoo,

Were going to have a miserable day,

So I put on my favorite rain boots,

And set out walking that way.”

En-route, grumpy monster notices that all of the world seems to be smiling and he naturally becomes a bit curious. Hmmmmm……What is the one thing he could do if he wanted to be happy too? His discovery will make even the grumpiest of monsters smile.
