June 14th Is The Birthday of It’s Write Now!

| June 4, 2008

TypewriterThe one year birthday of It’s Write Now is quickly approaching. I always thought I would do something fabulous for this occasion. But I’ve been so busy I’m not sure what I will do, if anything.

When I first began this blog I was filled with naive enthusiasm as most new blogger’s are, and I posted quite frequently about things I thought were important at the time. Now that I’ve been around longer and have more knowledge I would probably choose different topics.

I think this is why many successful blogger’s don’t become a success on their first blog. They start one test the waters and learn for awhile. Then they start a new blog with all of their new found knowledge and make it a success.

My original intent for It’s Write Now was to use it as a home base and kind of springboard for writing projects. I was hoping I would make some money on the side as well. But I wasn’t really planning on being part of the MMO niche. In fact I wasn’t really sure what a niche was.

My biggest complaint is still lack of time. I’ve been sidetracked by contests, other blogger’s, programs, challenges, requests for posts, blog networks, you name it. Never the less It’s Write Now has a nice solid foundation and a lot of potential.

Even if I don’t post as often, It’s Write Now will still be my blog, and I can talk about what’s going on, and my goals and projects, and things I’m trying to learn. I’ve come a long way since my first post  and yet my writing is about the same. Once again, thanks to everyone for stopping by, and I’ll talk to you all soon!

I really enjoyed reading your post on this subject of writing because I really can say that I can relate to the way you feel sometimes when it comes to writing and staying up to date on your web site stuff and keeping it current.Though I really feel like I have a gift to offer the world and I just need to keep that in mind when I don’t feel like writing that day or posting something because inspiration sometimes can be hard to get but once you get it it just flows like a river very easily. So I do my best to wait for the right moment to when I have something really good that pops in my head and I jot it down and write and that is when I feel the best of my work has came out. So I wish you the best of luck in your own writing and I will keep reading your great articles and just keep your head up.
Thanks for the inspiration and hope everything works out for you….
    Thanks Again,

Thank-you Ryan, I really appreciate your support. I think the posts I like best are the ones from the heart when people just write about their day or an experience that happened to them. I’ll talk to you soon. Emma

Statistically thousands of people start blogging each day for there own reasons most of them for the sake of earning money from home. But things don’t remain the same as always. However, it becomes easier with time and on the flip side of it … as you get more involved in blogging you stumble upon many new distractions, fellow bloggers, forums , guest posts, contests as you’ve pointed out Emma. So time because very limited to think about what to post about and when to do it.

However, Congrates on compeleting a year in blogging and I hope the very best for your future and future of the blog.

I also tend to get distracted by blog surfing and end up working late hours writing articles as a result.

Congrats on your upcoming anniversary. Think of how much more you know now.

    Happy Birthday!!

I totally agree with everything you said….

I have been doing a lot of research and am trying to learn from other peoples mistakes….

Of course I’m still going to make mistakes but I’m just trying to minimize them…

My grammar is also terrible, so the first week great, then after that it becomes a chore.

    I enjoy reading others now
