As Long As I Am In Your Heart
A short, but heartwarming story about childhood, friendship, loyalty and imagination. Told from the unique perspective of imaginary friend Kayden, as we follow him and his childhood friend Jin during their lives. Kayden struggles with the fact that he doesn’t know what is going to happen if Jin would forget him and he if he would disappear forever. At the same time, they discover that having an imaginary friend isn’t considerate normal anymore after a certain age. Is their friendship strong enough to survive, even against all odds? Childhood memories aren’t something you can throw away that easily. While keeping their friendship a secret, Jin’s family falls apart, and so does she.
Just because something is imaginary, doesn’t mean it isn’t real.
This short story of approximately 10.000 words isn’t necessarily a children’s book. I can be enjoyed by people of all ages.
