The Anthroscene
With a story spanning the continents, The Anthroscene combines action, horror and philosophy to deliver a thrilling tale based around the idea of an afterlife created out of the evolved consciousness of the human mind.
When history professor Nat Silverman begins having ghostly visions that endanger his sanity, if not his life, he and his friend Cassandra investigate their cause, only to find the answer to a much bigger question – what happens when we die?
The answer comes from an eccentric man named Jonah who believes that Nat is a Receptor, one with a mind capable of hosting souls traveling to and from Heaven. This isn’t the paradise in the clouds Heaven, though; it’s a human-made place called the Anthroscene.
Nat and Cassandra begin to study the anecdotal evidence, physics principles and the results of Jonah’s experiments, but their work is cut short when they draw the attention of one looking to hijack Nat’s mind and its abilities for his own purposes, which would send Nat to the Anthroscene much sooner than he had expected.
