Author Interview with Damon Zahariades

Are you constantly distracted? Does your mind wander after just a few minutes? If so, there’s a simple solution: Fast Focus. Imagine being able to focus on demand. Imagine having the ability to ignore distractions and get more done in less time. You’d have the freedom to spend more time with your friends and loved ones. You’d have the freedom to pursue your favorite interests. Fast Focus takes you, step by step, through a simple system that’ll help you to master your attention and triple your productivity.

Damon Zahariades, has directed his impressive powers of focus on today’s interview. Damon, thanks for spinning your focus this way. I’m intrigued by your desire to bring attention to the power of focus in an individual’s daily life. What motivated you to write a book on this topic?

The ability to master one’s attention is key to increased productivity, higher-quality work, and ultimately more free time.

More free time is something that I’m sure most people would love to take advantage of, myself included. Was poor focus something that you suffered from personally?

Absolutely. I used to have zero focus. Today, I’m able to concentrate for extended periods. This wouldn’t be possible without the tactics described in Fast Focus.

How did you go about finding and developing these tactics? Was there much research involved?

Yes. A substantial amount. The links to numerous studies are provided throughout Fast Focus.

And through your research what did you find out?

Anyone can develop the sharp focus used by today’s top executives, athletes, and students.

Finding out that everyone can use these tactics is fantastic. It gives the reader reassurance that they can also find a greater level of focus in their own lives. Did you find this realization satisfying?

Yes, knowing that the tactics I describe in the book will help others sharpen their focus and get more done in less time was satisfying.

In my mind’s eye I can really see the content in Fast Focus being turned into an instructional video or perhaps even a documentary. If this happened, who do you think could best deliver the message in your book?

Tony Robbins. :)

*Laughs* Tony has to be one of the best advocates for improving your life and I’m sure he would be able to smash out the content in Fast Focus! As you are now focused in your daily life, have you directed your powers of concentration to a new writing project?

Yes, I am writing a book on creating and leveraging morning routines.

Why do you love about writing in the self-help and personal development space? What keeps you coming back?

I want to share with others the strategies I’ve used to manage my time, increase my productivity, and “ship” higher-quality work.

Continue working on improving your strategies in your day-to-day life so that you have more books to write and share with the world. Damon, thanks again for joining me today and I wish you the best of luck getting the message in Fast Focus out to the world and also with your progress on your new writing projects.
