USA Today and Top Best Selling Romance authors have come together to give you this tempting bundle of 13 sinful bad boys that’ll have you on your knees and begging for more!
Today Alexis Abbott, one of the best selling authors responsible for today’s romance bundle ‘Begging for Bad Boys’, joins me to rummage into the riotous romance project. Alexis thanks for generously sparing a little time with me today to represent the team behind ‘Begging for Bad Boys’. Co-ordinating so many different authors to collaborate on a single book must be simultaneously exhilarating and exhausting. Can you tell us a little about how this anthology of romance came together?
I knew I wanted to do a bundle with other authors in my genre, so when Willow Winters approached me and asked if I’d be interested in teaming up with other bestselling authors like Lauren Landish and Crystal Kaswell, I leapt at the chance! I knew it would be a lot of work, since we were all writing new novels for the bundle, but it was so much fun being able to write with and work along side so many other talented authors!
Are most of the team full time writers?
Most of us are full time authors, though some of us are authors + moms :)
As full time writers, obviously writing is does take up a material amount of energy for each of you. Can you ponder on what brings you all back to the keyboard to tap out another work?
I think the answer for all of us is… because we have to!
*Laughs*
We’re people who were born with this need to tell stories, to engage readers and make the world a better place. We love connecting with our fans, and knowing that we’re making a positive impact on their lives. Every time I get a piece of fanmail thanking me for my story, I get so happy.
Happy is always good. Do the writers in your team use any other sources of happy, or any other emotions for that matter to texture the plotlines?
I think all of us draw a little bit on life experiences, or at least our fantasies, to fuel our books ;)
Fantasies make awesome fuel. Total rocket quality. Apart from taking the opportunity to engage in a few of those fantasies flittering in the wildness of your minds, what were most salient ideas that you hope readers take from your story, and that of the others included in the collaboration?
Love conquers all. No matter where you are in life, no matter what happens, the love of those in your life can help you overcome everything.
The power for love to overcome is completely understated. Other than instating a higher importance to love, what other rewards were found during this alliance?
Definitely working with the other authors, and coming together with a common goal. We’re working really hard to share our fans, and lift one another up. I’ve made a lot of great friends doing this, and met some amazing readers :)
After forming these new friendships with both writers and readers alike, are there are plans waiting in the wings to collaborate on a new bundle?
We’re all working on separate novels now, but hopefully we can get together for another bundle sometime in the future!
I’m sure the greater reading public is heartened to see members of the team writing their own new works, even if it delays a new collaboration. Alexis, thanks for taking the time to partake in these questions today and I hope you and the team connect with many new readers during the promotion.
