Kyle Richards has taken delivery of a gift from his boss and best friend. She looks like his dead wife and sounds like his dead wife, but the android companion sitting in his car could never replace the love he has lost. He has sixty days to evaluate the purchase, and his android companion will do anything to keep him from returning her for a refund. There are things about Susan that Kyle does not know.

To Kyle, Susan is a companion and sexual partner. To Senator Raymond Boyle, Chairman of the Armed Services Committee, Susan represents something very different. The push toward artificial intelligence is powered by two driving forces—sex and power. Those two forces conflict with one another in this science fiction novella.

This is a story of human interaction with artificial intelligence. It is intended for mature adults and is not suitable for younger readers.
