Dark Glass (Dominions I)

An assassin from the dark districts, a target in a perfect society. And secrets that could kill them both.

Killer-for-hire Rodin prides himself on his control. He trains hard. He keeps nobody close, has nothing anyone can use against him. He’s built his reputation, can pick and choose contracts.

Until now.

When others want to kill him, he’s forced to take a contract on a distinguished Councillor in the Dome, that idyllic, supposedly secure society beneath the glass. It’s a place where violence is unknown, where manners are everything. A place that will never accept Rodin.

So he must go undercover, be everything he isn’t. He must get close to the target without arousing suspicions.

But the target is protected. As enemies close in, pressure builds, and Rodin’s control starts to slip.

And if Rodin doesn’t remove his target, he’s a dead man.

Dark Glass is the start of Dominions, a series of dark Dystopian thrillers that are violent, intelligent and unexpected.

Meet TW Iain

Married, kids, job; the usual stuff. But there has to be more. Music, and books. Especially books. Fuel for the imagination, energy for the mind.
When I was younger, I’d go outside ‘to play’, but I’d take a book with me, find somewhere to sit, and read. I can recall holidays not through what happened, but through the books I read at the time.
But it’s never one-way. All those stories, all those ideas — they ferment. They build up, and they need a release.
TW Iain is the part of me that acts as a release valve, typing away, crafting tales to put out into the world. There are Dystopian thrillers (The Dominions series) and sci-fi horrors (Shadows). There’s also short stories, both in anthologies and on twiain.com.
It’s not enough, of course. Every story gives rise to more ideas that churn away, growing wings and demanding to be set free. It’s never-ending, this writing thing.
And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Dominions Box Set: Books I-III

To confront the future, he must first conquer his past.

Rodin, an assassin for hire in the chaos of the districts, is no stranger to death. He has the scars to prove it, each one a lesson, a mistake he won’t make again. But some scars hide beneath the surface.
When Rodin takes a contract within the perfect society of the Dome, he is forced to confront threats that have lain dormant for over a decade. He might think of himself as a man with no past, but everyone has a history. And if Rodin isn’t careful, his past might be the death of him.

This collection contains the first three novels (Dark GlassDead Flesh and Deep Water) and the short story prologue (Gatekeeper) of the dark Dystopian series Dominions. Get it now to enter the world of the Dome and the districts, and discover if Rodin has a future.

There are also musings on books, and anything related to them. But mainly, there’s the fiction‌—‌the stuff already out there, the stories in process, and the ideas that may, one day, grow to become new stories.

And all these stories (the ones I write and the ones I read) spawn new ideas, which ferment and grow into their own stories.

It’s never-ending, this writing thing. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Meet M.C. Fox

As a writer, I’ve long been fascinated by the world of espionage. Living in New York, I’m constantly inspired by the sights and sounds of a large city, and how that forms the perfect environment for a fast-paced thriller. Given our unstable political climate, as well as the Russian hacking of the election, I knew that it was the time for a spy story set in the world of political cyber-espionage, led by a fierce female protagonist.
