Room For Another: A Courageous Adoption Story Based on True Events

A Courageous Adoption Story Based on True Events

Every choice you make carries a consequence. What if your consequence was an unwanted pregnancy?

Having retired from teaching and journalism, Theresa receives a phone call from a friend asking for a favor. Would she help out two girls who are struggling with a high school writing assignment?

Theresa graciously agrees to share part of her life for the biographical paper. She surprises her unsuspecting young interviewers with stories of a broken childhood, tales of love found and lost, and the strength summoned to make the hardest decision of her life.

The sharing of her past not only provides fodder for Theresa’s students, but also prepares herself for one of the most impactful introductions yet to come.

Room For Another is a fictionalized account based on true life events of author Diane M. Dresback’s biological mother. The one thing that Diane learned about her mother was that it didn’t matter if you were blood, step, half, ex, in-law, adopted, or anywhere in-between—everyone was family and she always had room in her heart for another.

The Damaged Billionaire’s Obsession

I messed up. I slept with my smart-mouthed employee, and now she’s carrying my child.

For ten years, I’ve perfected the art of avoiding trouble.

Which is exactly what Bonnie is, with her tight leather clothes, unruly curls, and that sassy mouth that’s just begging to be taken.

I’m intrigued by her fierce independence and brilliant mind,

But it is the shadows in her eyes that have me spellbound.

One taste was all it took, and now I’m hooked on to her.

She can’t stand me, too, yet she can’t stop coming back for more.

So I break all my rules and show her the man beneath the mask.

And when Bonnie is forced to confront her past, she suddenly disappears with a secret.

My secret.

Going after her means I’ll have to plunge into hell but it’s also the only chance to make us a family.

Like I said, she’s trouble. Only now, nothing has ever tasted so good.

They Can’t Eat You for Supper

“…an emotional read.” Reader review ★★★★★

Kristin Murphy doesn’t like change.

When a lavish lifestyle and controlling marriage left her broken, she traded the pressures of perfection for her sanity. Today, her southern farmhouse can’t compare to the mansion she left, but her family has peace. Until she’s blindsided.

The fog lifts, and she’s separated from two daughters she swore to protect. An ill child relies on Kristin’s medical skills, while luxurious promises lure her teen out of reach. Fighting to remain relevant to them wasn’t something she prepared for, but she’s here now.

It’s a familiar psychological hell. Only this time, the stakes are higher.

Can Kristin return to being the mother she always wanted, or will she give in to a twisted family past she vowed to bury?

Life Lessons from Grandpa and His Chicken Coop: A Playful Journey Through Some Serious Sh*t

cover

Love is superior, family is mighty, and we were put here, not for ourselves, but for each other. These are the core values that were passed down to me from my grandfather. Don’t chase the chickens because one day one might just chase you back, beer is more than just a breakfast drink, and do what you want, not what you’re told… these were also some things of value that were passed down to me from Grandpa.

Growing up just down the hill from my grandfather and his chickens taught me more about life than anything that I could’ve learned in school (had I paid attention). Learning how to stand up for myself, to lend a helping hand, to nurture, and protect the things I love, are just a few of the lessons that I learned while crossing that grassy path between his house and mine.

Life Lessons from Grandpa and His Chicken Coop is a book about love, family, youth, maturing, and all the learning that happens in between. It is a powerful, humorous, insightful, playful, and philosophical narrative about perspective and the lessons that I have learned growing up just as ornery as my ornery grandfather and his precious chickens.
