Tarak: Blood Dictates All

On Tarak, blood dictates all.

The universe is vast and tamed, managed by a galactic-wide government called the Syndicate. Planet Tarak is an exception. Located on the rim of civilization, its people are independent and as fierce as its roving planetary storm held back by their high-tech biodome.

Through their hardened militaristic and scientific advancements, Tarakians have become the most formidable society in the universe, governed by a king with an unmatched bloodline, the Sight ability that even the Syndicate fears. Tarakian King Relaa will do anything to maintain his power and keep his planet safe from threats both internal and external while staying out of the Syndicate’s affairs.

But some threats not even he can see. A galactic civil war is brewing and even the isolated Tarakians will have to join.

Ehreo is a high-ranking Citadel agent on Tarak investigating a terrorist scheme that reaches right to the top of Tarakian society. What he discovers puts him in the crosshairs of a centuries-old prophecy . . . one that no one knows has already been set in motion by King Relaa, which may be the key to everything or could spell disaster for all.

Is Relaa as invincible as he thinks? Will Ehreo succeed or will Tarak crumble from within or succumb to assault from without? The galaxy is going to war. Billions will die. How will Tarak intervene with its own rebellion secretly underway?

Find out in Tarak.

Featuring the rich and complex worldbuilding of Game of Thrones meets Dune meets Star Wars, Tarak is full of action, political intrigue, and suspense. From the radiation-enhanced blood of the elegant Tarakians to mutated rebels to global superweapons to raging planetary storms and biodomes to the brutal warrior culture of its monarchy, Tarak is one immersive and memorable sci-fi ride.

Meet Sage Patel

When I started writing, I didn’t know what the f*ck I was doing, and candidly I still don’t. But I’ve always been told I’m a good storyteller.

I grew up in the hospitality industry, working front desk to maintenance and eventually went to business school, twice. I dove deep into financial modeling and strategy but something always ate at the back of my mind in the wee hours of night staring into the abyss of a soon to be #REF excel spreadsheet.

Since I was a child I told myself stories to fall asleep. Eventually I wanted to write them down. With no formal writing training I opened MS Word and let my thoughts pour out of me and just kept going.

Tarak, my first novel, is my pride and joy. It will be a multiple book series with unlimited potential for future stories. I wrote this for those who find home in worlds beyond our own.

The Void Within: The Cluster Saga Book One

cover

The 25th century. Humanity has discovered a new form of energy, the Source, derived from the very basis of life itself. Using this power to travel instantaneously through space, humans have spread through their corner of the galaxy and coalesced into two groups: the Coalition and the Inner Cluster. They are held in an uneasy economic and cultural relationship by their reliance on each other, the Coalition with the technology of the Source and the Inner Cluster with the materials to make it a usable form of energy. When rumors of conquest, political undergrounds, and alien contact threaten this balance of powers, it falls to three individuals to find the truth of the conspiracies swirling through their governments and to stave off a disastrous war. What they find in the process will change the course of humanity forever.
