American Warrior - ASIN B00ENL8C6G

The year is 1961. America has a new president, named John F. Kennedy, and a new era the newspapers are calling The Dawn of Camelot. But for ten-year-old Paul Brett, dealing with an abusive father and immigrant gangs roaming his slum neighborhood of China Slough, America is only a small, dead-end place he is struggling to survive.

That is, until the night a stranger comes out of the darkness and initiates a journey–an unforgettable odyssey–beyond his wildest imagination.

From the mean streets of childhood, into the deadlier, coming-of-age wars for survival in a careless, unforgiving world, American Warrior follows one young man’s breathtaking and mesmerizing journey into manhood, and hell’s darkest reaches.

She moved in with Moira McGuiness, a hedge fund manager. They became fast friends.
Moira was promiscuous, and asked Sheddi to take pictures of her, and her new handsome Rastafarian beau Jabril. She didn’t know him well enough. Sheddi agreed. She thought it was a break from all the illegal activities the recorded.
The couple went to the Jamaican Jerk club, and Sheddi followed. Jabril brought Moira to the adjacent alley to meet another Jamaican male. Sheddi took pictures from across the street.
Moira found out she was being recruited by a sinister Jamaican drug syndicate, and refused the offer. The Jamaican syndicate head shot her in the back, Sheddi screamed, and was seen by the two men.

Shadow Eclipse Voyage

cover

From 21st century PhD student to 23rd century vampire space mercenary, Clarke’s had a busy week.

Discovering you are a vampire would normally be the most notable thing in someone’s day. For Florentina Clarke, it gets narrowly edged out when an experiment traps her 200 years into the future. Enlisting as a mercenary on a smuggling vessel that seems to spend more time seeking fights than actually smuggling is an unusual career move for a PhD student. But when you have no money, no ID and the yakuza want a quiet word about a completely honest misunderstanding then perhaps poor life choices are the only life choices.

Okay, so you do have to deal with pirate attacks, a surely captain that refuses to meet you, a ship’s armory that seems to have far too many stakes in it, Orcish squad-mates who keep drinking the illicit coffee you are trying to smuggle, more pirate attacks, your own (future) self who is involving you in her own machinations and an irritating, but magnetic, vampire lover whose personal quest for vengeance has already gotten him killed once.

Shadow Eclipse: Voyage is the first book in the Shadow Eclipse series, following the adventures of Florentina Clarke across time and space.

‘Star trek, but with time-travelling space vampires.’

Hell to Reality: One prisoner’s journey

cover

1939 Torun, Poland; the journey was perilous. The Mayer family; Peter, Mary his wife and their two sons John and Vladek, were under deep peril and had a decision to make. Early in the morning Peter was conscripted to a mandatory sentence by regulation under the threat of death at gunpoint by the Gestapo to be the “Volksdeutsche,” informer. Peter had no choice but to immediately leave Torun to flee to his cousin Klaus Kramke. He settled near the borders of Germany and Lithuania. Peter became one of many hundreds of migratory people without a name, identity, or a place to call home. Peter was victimized, attacked and left for dead on one of his trips to Lithuania. Unable to care for his own needs and bad bodily injuries, Peter was taken in as a refugee. Peter’s memory was obscured. In 1940 Peter was forced to join the Russian army. In 1941 the German army invaded Russia and Lithuanian provinces. Capture and transfer was inevitable to the infamous “Stalag 18” camp for migratory prisoners. Providence was with Peter and even as an unknown without a past he was recognized by family, his cousin Klaus. In 1943 Klaus and Peter escaped from Stalag 18 and fled to Olsztyn and later to his native home town Torun. In 1945 the Russian invaders liberated Torun. After the war Peter had his mind set on true freedom. The Baltic Sea was the only way to freedom; this idea never left his mind. Accounts from “Hell to Reality” is loosely based on the harrowing accounts of war, persecution and an identity that never left or abandoned Peter. Names and locations were changed.
