Eleven-year old Landau discovers a treasure that will have every creature of myth and legend in pursuit of him. But the enemy constantly follows, Landau’s companions despise each other, and all he wants is to complete his quest so he can return home – but what chance does a kid have against the creator of all things evil?
The first book in ‘The Sword Empire’ series.

Meet J.R.Kearney

I have worked in retail for over twenty years. That’s bad. But I’ve also been writing the Sword Empire Series for fifteen of those years. That’s good. Living in Sydney, Australia for all my life, I began writing the series in 2005 as a series of short stories for my autistic nephew, set in the fictional world of Heldorn, that soon grew into ‘The Sword Empire’ series of today. A lover of music, anything from a Van Halen guitar solo to a Disney showtune, I’m also a big advocate for exercise while also lounging about playing the latest RPG. But mostly books are my passion, growing up watching a lot of bad movies to know what a good story should look like. Regardless of fame or fortune I will write this series purely out of enjoyment, I hope you can enjoy them too.

Rivers Run Red

In the Nine Kingdoms, lords and churches dance to a song of war and murder.

But unknown to the players, the song is changing. The Tainted One has returned; harbinger of a cycle of destruction as old as humankind itself. A kingdom is on the verge of collapse; humankind is on the fringes of annihilation – but the lords and ladies, the holy men and the apostates, the great and the small; all just keep spinning with the music.

Nihm is a young woman, living peacefully on the edges of the wilds. But as the hordes descend upon the Nine Kingdoms she finds herself at its forefront, in a race for survival. Where truths will be revealed and her world will change, challenging who and what she is.

Renco is a mute, raised by an outcast from an Ancient Order. His master hones his mind and body to a fine edge. But to what purpose?

Join an epic fantasy and follow Nihm and Renco as their journey unfolds. Can two people really change the fate of a world?

Meet A D Green

Hi, I’m A D Green an epic fantasy novelist.

My debut novel Rivers Run Red is the first in The Morhudrim Cycle (2019). A Sword and Sorcery fantasy saga. The second book in the series Shadows Fall (2020) was released on 15th October 2020.

I grew up in Auckland, New Zealand but have been living in York, England for the past twenty years with my beautiful, gorgeous, stubborn, patient wife, three kids and a shorky named Lottie.

I am an avid fantasy and science-fiction reader since I can remember, hooked by Tolkien’s Hobbit and Lord of the Rings and with the imagination of David Eddings, or maybe it was the other way around.

Meet Douglas R. Brown

Douglas R. Brown runs into burning buildings for a living.
As a career firefighter in Columbus, Ohio, he rediscovered his love of writing as a cathartic way of dealing with the daily horrors of seeing people die.
After having four books published by a publishing company who ultimately closed their doors, he has since ventured out on his own.
And if risking his life, occasional soul-crushing book reviews, and being the father of a teen-aged boy isn’t enough of a beating, he’s also been learning jiujitsu for a few years. What the Hell is wrong with him? (The answer is probably Freudian of some kind.)
BTW, did he mention he’s been married since 1996. So, yeah, he’s pretty busy.

Mind Gardens

The Sorry and Morticum series continues a thousand years in the future. Sorry and his self-made family escape the chaos on earth in a Mutmut spaceship. They head for the ancient moon colony, Rumi, which has not been heard from in a hundred years. They are astounded by what they find there. Is it an alternative to death? Is this a method of finally discovering the inner workings of others? Can you really connect a hundred different brains and have them always reach an agreement? Take a seat in the mind gardens, if you dare.

Innocence Interrupted

Beheading Kings and poisoning the innocent, I reckon I’m a menace. Didn’t intend on it, but one thing leads to the next.
I figured I’d kill the sard, steal his wealth, and be well on my way elsewhere, but somehow, I ended up latched to the Lord and Master of Frenmere Pass, helping him every step of the way. Icaz proved an enigma, and I don’t like leaving without answers. How does a deranged fool nobody has heard of end up as one of the wealthiest folks around? I worried for the children in his care too, and wanted to make sure the girls stayed safe, but mostly I stuck around to itch away at the nasty scab called curiosity.
Who wouldn’t be curious upon learning your employer possesses a pendant capable of controlling the mind and bending others to his will? Who wouldn’t want to know if the fantastical story he tells bears any resemblance to the truth? I sarding well do. If that means one preposterous situation after the next, so be it. More questions than answers, and I mean to even the score.

Dorothy in the Land of Monsters

cover

Shifters, Zombies, and Vampires? Oh my!

My name is Dorothy Gale, and I think I might be dead.

When my dog Toto and I got swept up in a twister, we landed in hell. A very colorful hell. Like a rainbow dripping in blood. Now it looks as though this dreadful underworld plagued with vampires, zombies, and shifters will be the site of my eternal damnation.

They say this terrifying land called Oz isn’t hell or purgatory and escape is possible, but first I must survive the journey down the blood-soaked yellow brick road to the only place in Oz where vampires dare not tread—The City of Emeralds.

With enchanted footwear and the help of my three new friends—a friendly zombie, a massive shifter lion, and a heartless axe murderer of evil night creatures (who also happens to be the hottest guy I’ve ever seen)—Toto and I have a chance to make it to the Vampire Free Zone. When we get there, I must convince the most powerful wizard in this magical land of monsters to send us out of this radiant nightmare and back to the world of the living. They say he’s just as frightening as this monstrous land, that he detests visitors, and even the most horrifying creatures cower in his presence. But I must seek him out. And when I find him, I’ll do whatever it takes to make him send me home.
