The Chronicle Gate: vol. 1 Ethereal

A kid discovers adventure and magic on a new planet!

What if you ended up on a planet. . .and had no idea how you got there?

The Elouse are creatures who live on the planet Ethereal. When they find a human child lost and alone, they take him in and care for him. Sinya, the human child, struggles to remember anything about how he got to Ethereal. As Jasper, the Elousen father, searches for answers, Sinya’s new mother Ellen and her daughters Taylinn and Avigale help him adjust to life on their planet.
Taylinn’s dad is going on a secret mission aboard a space ship. Taylinn overhears that the mission is really “to save his family from him?” Could he mean Sinya? Sinya starts seeing Mer-Dragons, a made-up tale told to him by Avigale and Taylinn but this Mer-Dragon talks to a being known as “Malic,” one that means danger for Jasper and the family. But no one will believe Sinya when he tried to warn them of the danger. When Taylinn finally sees the truth of the danger for herself, she tries to alert her friends, but just like Sinya, no one will believe her, including her mother. Now in order for Sinya to get back home, these unlikely pair must team up to save Jasper, and his family from the coming danger of Mer-Dragons!

Meet N. Lang

I’ve been studying writing for a while now. Ever since I was eighteen, I’d found writing books to read and mark and later got into writing workshops and into a good writers’ group that helped me edit my prose. Now I have six books published and editing my fifth book in The Chronicle Gate series” and a duo novel. “The Lost Angels” When I’m not writing or editing, I’m working or at the movies or watching Netflex or Disney +

Empire: Country

Winning the demon war was the easy part. Rebuilding the Empire is a nightmare.

Two years after the war, wealthy commoner Tia Samos comes to a backwater barony hunting for a suitable highborn husband. She finds an impoverished province stalked by a monster straight out of legend. Still, the baron is decent enough, so she decides to linger a bit – then matters go from ‘bad’ to ‘terrifying.’

Fortunately, she has her knightly protector Sir Peter Cortez, and her oafish carriage driver Kyle for protection. But even they might not be a match for the evil stalking the countryside…

Meet Tim Goff

I was raised on an Alaskan homestead at the edge of civilization, an upbringing that brought a plethora of skills and experiences useful in writing novels.

Brian, His Granddad & the Cup of Ages

When eleven-year-old Brian Pankhurst has to stay with his grandparents, he’s not exactly enthusiastic. He barely knows them, after all, and they’re a little strange. They’re stranger than he realises, in fact. Very soon after he arrives at their ancient house, Brian starts to feel that something isn’t right. Why has someone sent his granddad a completely blank letter? Why don’t people who go in to the local bookshop ever seem to come out again? What does his granddad mean when he says Brian’s father wasn’t really an accountant? Then Brian wakes in the middle of the night and finds he’s going to have to adjust to three things very quickly: magic is real, monsters are real, and he and his family are in terrible danger…

Meet P.J. Taylor

P.J. Taylor was born in Kent in 1971. He was educated at Ramsden School for Boys, where he spent pretty much most of the time playing computer games, and watching movies. In 1994 he was diagnosed with Wegner’s Granulomatosis and became seriously ill. Five years later and after various treatments he successfully went into remission. Unfortunately, in 2004 he became seriously ill again and was diagnosed with an inoperable tumour caused by the same disease. It was whilst he was in hospital, receiving treatment, that he began working on his first novel ‘Brian, his Granddad & the Cup of Ages’. P.J. Taylor currently lives in Surrey where he spends most of his time still playing computer games, watching movies and writing children’s fantasy stories.

Dragons in the Dungeon

Goats have proven the grass is greener on the other side of the fence even if it is barren ground and they stand in lush pasture. Humans have a similar mentality. So, it is no surprise when Ryan McCormac, long-time player of Mediaeval Dungeon Adventures, stumbles upon a spell that transports him into a campaign that he believes life will be better.

Any guesses on how it turns out? You’re right. He discovers life is no better in the fantasy realm. Sure, the ex-girlfriend isn’t there, but neither are the friends he gamed with every Friday night. He quickly learns the world is horrible. Every day he fears for his life. The people are soulless, the landscape is colourless and the magic is nowhere to be found. The only way home is to find another like him and sacrifice them.

After five years, he’s finally found someone from his world. Now he just has to get her to the wizard who can perform the spell. Simple right? Except she’s a gatherer and before he reaches the wizard, she’s gathered several friends who plan to save her.

If you played Dungeons and Dragons in the 1980s, you’ve got this. You know the feeling of joining friends on a quest, choosing your race, be it dwarf or elf, your profession, possibly fighter or thief, gathering your gear and exploring endless dungeons. This story is a tribute to those days when life was good, music was better and days were endless.

Meet Diane McGyver

Lady Diane McGyver fell in love with the fantasy genre when at the age of 13, an awesome Dungeon Master introduced her to Dungeons & Dragons. From there, she landed in the world created by Terry Brooks and then the ones by Mercedes Lackey. By the age of 16, she was truly lost to other realms and dreamt of one day living in one or two.

Her future goals are to write fantasy stories in a peel tower near the Atlantic Ocean where she’ll raise chickens, vegetables and Trouble.
